How we supply

Tested first, then supplied

Because Spheroid Engineering Limited runs flotation and leach test-work in-house, we can recommend a reagent suite, dose it in the laboratory and then supply it, rather than sell from a catalogue.

Every consignment comes with a certificate of analysis and a safety data sheet. Where an ore is difficult or a plant is changing feed, we test candidate reagents against the actual ore before a full order is placed.

Collectors

Xanthates, dithiophosphates and thionocarbamates that render sulphide and oxide mineral surfaces hydrophobic for flotation.

Frothers

MIBC, polyglycol and alcohol blends and pine oil for a stable, selective froth at the concentrate lip.

Depressants

Sodium silicate, CMC, guar and sulphite-based depressants to hold gangue and unwanted sulphides in the pulp.

Dispersants

Sodium hexametaphosphate, polyacrylates and silicates that prevent slime coating and improve selectivity.

Activators

Copper sulphate and sodium sulphide (sulphidisation) to reactivate tarnished sulphides and float oxide copper.

Flocculants

Anionic, cationic and non-ionic polyacrylamides for thickening, filtration, tailings dewatering and water clarification.

Sulphuric acid

Technical-grade acid for oxide copper and cobalt leaching, pH control and solvent-extraction electrowinning circuits.

Lime

Quicklime and hydrated lime for flotation pH modification, neutralisation, acid-mine-drainage treatment and water conditioning.

Diluent

Low-aromatic hydrocarbon diluents for the organic phase in copper and cobalt solvent-extraction plants.

Lixiviant

Acid, ferric and alkaline leaching agents selected and dosed for the mineralogy of your ore, from heap to agitated leach.

Need a reagent that is not listed, or a suite optimised for a difficult ore? Our metallurgists will test it first. Ask for a quotation.

Pumps, parts and PPE too

Alongside reagents we supply slurry and water pumps, service parts, drilling accessories and personal protective equipment.
